UGLY SWEATER PHOTO CONTEST – SHARE AND WIN

Did you ever hear, "wear your sweater, it's cold out!" So, here is a good reason to pull out that ugly sweater. Send us your Ugly Sweater picture and get entered to win a full set of our Ugly Sweater and Ugly Tie Coffees. You can see the full contest details below. Contest Starts 12/4/14 and Ends 12/21/14. It's that time of the year again, and how better to celebrate and show your true holiday spirit, then by wearing it! That’s right, it’s the season to pull out those ugly holiday sweaters for a chance to win an amazing giveaway. Here is what you can do for a chance to win;

1. Find an Ugly Sweater.

It must be your Ugly Sweater - You own it. It lives in your closet.

Family or Friends Ugly Sweaters - Someone or a group you know owns it/them.

Homemade or Handpicked Ugly Sweater - You got it as a gift, now own it!

2. Take a picture of yourself, your significant other, your pet, the most festive holiday sweater.

3. Share on Instagram or twitter with the hashtag #uglysweatercontest and tag @paramountcoffeeco

4. Or Comment on this post "I want to enter" then we will send you an email to submit your photo with.

Winners will receive a Paramount Coffee Holiday Coffee Prize Package valued at $37. It includes four 12 ounce bags of our holiday specialty coffees of their choice. The prizes will come in 2 pack Holiday Coffees Gift Box Sets.   Winners must be 18 years old and reside in the USA. Winners will be selected by our distinguished panel of judges – a Paramount Coffee representative, our contest moderator, and two Ugly Sweater expert judges.

This contest will begin on December 4th and end on December 21st at midnight EST. Ugly Sweater Picture Contest entries may be shared on facebook.com/paramountcoffeecompany andinstagram.com/paramountcoffeeco, visit to see your photo and more. Winners will be emailed and announced on our Facebook Instagram and our Pinterest board called Ugly Sweaters atwww.pinterest.com/pccroasters.

Judging will occur on December 22, 2014 and winners will be announced on December 23, 2014. Winners will be contacted by message and/or emailed with directions to claim their Holiday Coffees.

Contest Details/ Terms and Conditions

1. The Ugly Sweater Contest is organized and sponsored by Paramount Coffee Company.

2. This contest will begin on December 4th and end on December 21st at midnight EST.

3. Entry in the contest happens on Instagram at instagram.com/paramountcoffeeco or Twitter with the hashtag #uglysweatercontest and tag @paramountcoffeeco

Note: Those that do not wish to participate via Instagram/Twitter may enter the contest by Comment on this post, "I want to enter" then we will send you an email to submit you photo with.

4.  Images should be no larger than 20 mg and must be submitted as a jpg.  Contestants should read the following document on Permission to Use Photos before submitting.

5. Five prize packages will be awarded, for the three categories:  A. Sweater You Own, B. Sweater or Sweaters Owned by You or Someone You Know. C. Sweater Made or Handpicked for You. Each prize package includes 4 -12 ounce bags of coffee (VALUED AT $37) from the Paramount Coffee Holiday Coffee group.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a coffee, should the supply of the requested Holiday Coffee be depleted.

6. As a contest entrant you must be 18 years or older and live in the United States of America. Entering the contest constitutes agreement to contest terms and conditions, including adhering to the Photo Image Permission guidelines referenced above. The sponsor reserves the right of final judgment concerning items not expressly stated in the contest terms and conditions.

7. Your Ugly Sweater Photo entry will be reviewed by the contest moderator on behalf of the sponsor, who has the right to refuse any photo which is deemed inappropriate or morally out-of-bounds.  Photo entries without the entry form filled out will be considered incomplete and not eligible.

8. The Judging Panel will include a representative from Paramount Coffee Company, the contest moderator, and two guest Ugly Sweater expert judges. All decisions of the judging panel are final.  

9. This contest is in no way affiliated with or owned by the following entities:  Facebook, Heyo, or Pinterest.

10. The organizer may elect to suspend or postpone receipt of any or all entries if in its judgment the contest cannot be run smoothly, securely or without affecting the fairness of the judging due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to computer viruses or unauthorized access to its servers.

Photo Image Permission Guidelines

Have fun with this photo contest, but please stay legal.  To avoid any conflicts over copyrights and intellectual property, please do not submit photos that you may find on the internet, or elsewhere, without verifying ownership and confirming permission to use.

1. Your entry into this photo contest should be only a photo which you own or have the prior permission to use from the owner. As the entrant you are responsible for taking all necessary steps to protect the rights of persons depicted in the photo, including but not limited to obtaining their permission.  You agree to be solely responsible for the resolution of any legal issue that may arise from using the photo and agree to pay any costs that might be incurred.

2. The organizer reserves the right to disallow entries that depict brand logos or other intellectual property, whether on signs or posters or in other forms, or that in its judgment are harmful to the public order, violate standards of decency or are contrary to the goals of the contest. Entrants must also hold all applicable rights to the final image, including any retouching or other image-processing.

3. Placing the name or source on a photo as a credit does not constitute permission.

4. By entering this contest with a valid entry, you give the contest sponsor the right to use your photo, name and any statements you make about the product Ugly Sweater coffee in relation to the contest or the Ugly Sweater coffee brand.

Paramount Coffee Company has been, and continues to be, involved in several charitable initiatives.  As an employee-owned business we are extra sensitive to the topics and causes that resonate with our team members.  While we have a growing national footprint (our coffee brands continue to grow in popularity and availability with major retailers or through our wholesale support of cafes and convenience store coffee stations) we do not forget our local roots in mid-Michigan.

How We Decide

First, we are extremely sensitive to the concerns of the workers and farmers that we partner with in coffee growing economies in the temperate zone known as the “coffee belt.”  So, when international initiatives created within our industry that address very specific concerns related to coffee workers and farmers – we are on-board.

Second, our associate/owners in our roasting plant and distribution center will sometimes shine a light on a local charitable event or cause that is specific to our own community.  The request may be for a short term need such as prizes for an event, or perhaps to meet a need for a more lasting level of support.

In either case, global or local we want to align with initiatives that give us the ability to make a difference.  That is why we are creating this Coffee That Cares category for our blog.  Watch for blogs on current initiatives. We will tell you how we are participating and how you can help as well.
